A smoky, tropical Islay single malt, Smokehead Rum Rebel is matured in ex-rum casks, combining medicinal peat smoke with notes of sweet caramel, burnt pineapple and caramelised banana. Bold and unconventional, it balances intense smoke with warming spice and subtle tropical sweetness.
Rich peat sits at the core, lifted by the influence of Caribbean rum casks which add layers of sweetness and spice. The result is a complex yet approachable whisky, where smoky depth meets brighter, fruit-led notes.
The nose brings peat smoke with hints of charred pineapple and banana, while the palate moves from oily, briny smoke into softer honeyed sweetness and light citrus. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering oak and a gentle touch of fruit.
Distilled on Islay and bottled at 46% ABV, Smokehead Rum Rebel captures the brand’s bold, rebellious style with a distinctive rum cask twist.
