Togouchi 9 year old whisky is a unique and authentic Japanese style whisky, designed to be delicate, balanced and fruity. A true expression of the Japanese refined culture.
Aged for 9 years in bourbon barrels and made from 38% malted barley this blend reveals a fruity, spicy and woody profile, with notes of white flowers, honey and peppermint.
Blended by the Sakurao distillery, that relies on centuries of expertise acquired in the production of traditional Japanese spirits.
Togouchi whiskies are aged in an old railway tunnel 70km away from the distillery, where the ageing conditions are perfectly monitored. The high humidity rate and cool temperature limit the impact of the wood on the whisky, leading to a light and elegant whisky with a clear color, true characteristic of the Togouchi whiskies.
Togouchi whiskies are bottled to pay tribute to the Japanese craftsmanship.
