Born from a collaboration between Gelston’s owner Johnny Neill and his cousin Sam Neill (actor, writer and producer) in New Zealand, this release brings both sides of the family together. It’s a meeting of two hemispheres too — blending distinctive flavours and aromas from north and south.
The whisky is triple distilled and first matured for 19 months in ex-bourbon barrels. It then spends a further 21 months finishing in Sam’s French oak casks, previously used to hold his acclaimed Central Otago Pinot Noir.
