Distilled in November 1967, this deep coloured Sherry bomb was drawn from refill Sherry Butt number 12418 at an impressive natural cask strength 52.5% and bottled for Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series in March 2018. Cask Strength - Set in a gorgeous wooden presentation box. One of only 307 hand filled bottles.
The nose is rich and full flavoured, with powerful dark and macerated fruits, plus a spiced backdrop. The palate interestingly oaky with a twist of vanilla, barley and a home-baked style, and the finish is almost minty in its dryness ahead of mocha and even later molasses.
