The Macallan The Harmony Collection: Intense Arabica forms part of the second limited annual release in the distillery’s Harmony series, this time taking inspiration from Ethiopian Arabica coffee beans. Matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks, the single malt develops a rich and expressive profile shaped by deep roasted notes and layered sweetness.
Aromas of tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread and dried fruits are complemented by hints of almond, vanilla and polished oak. On the palate, flavours of dark chocolate, espresso, blackberry and red fruit unfold alongside roasted coffee beans, Brazil nuts and soft vanilla, leading to a lingering, coffee-led finish. Reflecting the theme, the presentation incorporates recycled cascara, reinforcing the release’s connection to coffee.
