GlenDronach Port Wood

The GlenDronach Port Wood is a richly fruity Highland single malt inspired by the historic trade in Portuguese port casks that found their way to Scotland during the 19th century. Matured initially in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, the whisky undergoes a further three-year maturation in carefully selected Port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley, creating a beautifully layered and complex expression.

Masterfully crafted by The GlenDronach's blenders, this whisky develops exceptional depth, with the Port casks enhancing the distillery's signature sherried character while adding vibrant fruit richness and a striking deep cherry wood colour.

The palate offers generous notes of ripe berries, dark cherries, red fruits, and warming spice, complemented by layers of rich sherry sweetness and subtle oak. The result is a smooth, full-bodied whisky with remarkable balance and a long, lingering finish.
