Loch Lomond 2007 10 Year Old SMWS 112.22 is a limited single cask release from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, offering a distinctive expression of this versatile Highland distillery. Distilled on 19 December 2007, the whisky was matured for 10 years in a second-fill ex-bourbon hogshead, allowing the character of the spirit to remain at the forefront while gaining gentle sweetness and complexity from the oak.
The ex-bourbon maturation brings layers of vanilla, sweet malt and orchard fruit, accompanied by citrus, gentle oak and warming spice. The second-fill cask influence keeps the profile balanced and spirit-driven, creating a characterful whisky with plenty of individuality.
