Kilkerran 12 Year Old

Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a lightly peated Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery and the first core expression introduced to the Kilkerran range. Matured in a combination of 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks, it offers an excellent introduction to the distillery’s distinctive oily, maritime style.

Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky balances fresh citrus and orchard fruit with butterscotch, shortbread and honeycomb. Gentle sherry sweetness and a touch of peat smoke add depth, while Kilkerran’s characteristic oily texture carries through to a satisfyingly complex finish.

Glengyle Distillery was revived in 2004 after almost 80 years of closure, making Kilkerran an important part of Campbeltown’s modern whisky revival. Bottled without chill filtration, the 12 Year Old remains a characterful example of traditional Campbeltown single malt.
