Highland Park 2006 15 Year Old The Octave

This rare Highland Park 15 Year Old was distilled in 2006 and bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of its renowned Octave Series. Showcasing the Orcadian distillery's distinctive balance of gentle smoke, honeyed malt, and rich fruit, this limited release was given a final maturation period in one of Duncan Taylor's signature octave casks.

An octave is a small sherry cask of around 60 litres, significantly smaller than a traditional butt or hogshead. The increased wood contact accelerates flavour development, adding exceptional richness and intensity to the whisky during its finishing period.

After 15 years of maturation, including several months in the sherry octave, the whisky was bottled in 2021 at its natural cask strength, delivering a beautifully concentrated profile of dried fruits, spice, honey, oak, and subtle heathery smoke. Presented with natural colour and no chill filtration, it offers the whisky exactly as intended.

Produced exclusively for the UK market, this highly collectible release yielded only around 88 bottles, making it an increasingly scarce find for Highland Park enthusiasts and collectors alike.
