Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout
This distinctive Tomintoul 19 Year Old is a richly flavoured Speyside single malt, matured exclusively in a single Port pipe for its entire life. Distilled in August 2000 and bottled in January 2020, this rare release showcases the remarkable influence that long-term Port cask maturation can have on Tomintoul's naturally smooth and approachable spirit.
Drawn from cask #1, the whisky spent 19 years developing layers of fruit, sweetness, and spice, resulting in a bold yet beautifully balanced dram. The Port pipe has imparted a deep richness, complementing the distillery's signature malt character with vibrant red fruit notes and warming oak complexity.
The nose reveals aromas of red and black berries, toffee, and hints of tobacco. On the palate, sweet Port influence intertwines with malted barley, rich fruit, and gentle oak spice, creating a full-bodied and rewarding drinking experience. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of spice, toffee, and dark fruit.
With an outturn of just 753 bottles, this is a highly appealing single cask release for collectors and fans of wine-cask matured whiskies.
