The Kurayoshi 8 Year Old is a world blended malt produced by Matsui Shuzou in Japan’s Tottori Prefecture. Crafted from a blend of Scotch and Japanese malt whiskies, it is reduced to bottling strength using volcanic-stone-filtered water, contributing to its smooth and refined character.
Aged for eight years, this expression delivers a vibrant and aromatic profile. The nose reveals notes of toffee, red berries and violets, lifted by hints of pink peppercorn and orange peel. On the palate, toasted oak, macadamia nuts and ripe strawberries add depth and gentle sweetness, creating a balanced and approachable whisky with a distinctive fusion style.
