The Glenrothes 13 Year Old – Halloween Edition 2018 is an exceptionally rare and collectible Speyside single malt, released to celebrate Halloween and one of the distillery's most distinctive limited-edition bottlings. Distilled on 31st October 2004, Halloween itself, and filled into casks the following day, this special release was matured for 13 years before being bottled in 2018, with just 2,202 bottles produced worldwide.
Matured exclusively in first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks, this expression showcases the rich, elegant character of Glenrothes with an added layer of sweetness and complexity. Notes of creamy vanilla, fresh melon and warming ginger are complemented by gentle oak spice and delicate fruit sweetness, creating a beautifully balanced single malt with a smooth, lingering finish.
Bottled at 46.6% ABV, the Halloween Edition 2018 is particularly desirable for its unusual distillation date, exclusive sherry cask maturation and exceptionally small release. Its distinctive Halloween-themed presentation adds further appeal, making it a fascinating addition to any collection of rare Glenrothes whiskies.
