Tamdhu Cask Strength Batch 7 is the seventh release in the distillery’s acclaimed Batch Strength series, showcasing its unwavering dedication to maturation exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks sourced from the bodegas of Jerez, Spain.
Bottled at natural cask strength, this Speyside single malt displays a deep, natural copper hue and a full-bodied character. As the successor to the award-winning Batch 6, this release continues the distillery’s reputation for delivering richly sherried and complex whiskies with impressive depth and structure.
The flavour profile is layered and indulgent, with notes of berries, roasted nuts, and caramel complemented by hints of citrus and warming spice. Aromas of cinnamon, oak, and vanilla sponge add further complexity, while the palate remains sweet, nutty, and richly textured throughout. A long, enduring finish rounds off the experience.
A small addition of water can help to unlock brighter fruit notes, enhancing the whisky’s complexity and revealing further layers of flavour.
