Royal Brackla 13 Year Old 2009 - Strictly Limited Càrn Mòr

Royal Brackla is a historic distillery located in the Highlands of Scotland. Founded in 1812, it holds the distinction of being the first distillery to receive a royal warrant, bestowed by King William IV in 1835.

Royal Brackla is known for its rich and robust single malt whiskies, characterised by a unique combination of fruitiness, maltiness, and subtle hints of spice.

This vintage expression was released independently by Càrn Mòr as part of their Strictly Limited range. The whisky was matured for 13 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon and refill bourbon casks.

This showcases the layers of flavour created by 3 different American Oak casks, effervescent top notes/distillery character from refill bourbon, gentle citrus and vanilla from first-fill bourbon, and bold, chewy brown sugar and spice, almost bourbon style, from fresh new oak #4 charred barrels.
