Petit Castel

Petit Castel is the acclaimed second wine of Domaine du Castel, one of Israel’s most prestigious wineries, located in the hills surrounding Jerusalem. Crafted in a classic Bordeaux style, it offers an elegant introduction to the estate’s winemaking philosophy, combining refinement, balance, and exceptional drinkability.

The blend brings together Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, sourced from the estate’s finest vineyard parcels. Following vinification, the wine is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels before spending an additional four months in concrete tanks, allowing the fruit, tannins, and oak influence to integrate harmoniously.

Rich yet approachable, Petit Castel displays aromas and flavours of ripe red and black fruits, complemented by subtle spice, gentle oak, and delicate herbal notes. The palate is structured and well-balanced, with refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish.

Designed for both immediate enjoyment and short to medium-term ageing, this sophisticated red pairs beautifully with roasted meats, lamb, game, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
