The Lochlea Sowing Edition – First Crop is the first release in Lochlea's seasonal limited-edition series, inspired by the farming calendar at the heart of the distillery. Representing spring, when barley is sown across Lochlea Farm, this bottling celebrates the beginning of the whisky-making journey.
Matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 48% ABV, it showcases a bright and vibrant character, with the casks adding gentle vanilla sweetness while allowing Lochlea's fruity spirit to shine.
Expect notes of orchard fruits, citrus, creamy vanilla, and soft sweetness, balanced by the distillery's elegant Lowland style. Fresh, approachable, and full of character, it perfectly captures the energy of the season.
As with all Lochlea releases, it is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
