Following its outstanding reception, this exceptional whisky earned a permanent place in Lagavulin's core range, where it continues to showcase the distillery's unmistakable smoky character. Bottled at a robust 48% ABV, it offers a vibrant and youthful interpretation of this iconic Islay malt.

Despite its relatively young age, Lagavulin 8 Year Old delivers remarkable depth and intensity. The nose opens with bright citrus, bonfire smoke, and sea salt, while the palate combines sweet malt, cracked black pepper, charred oak, and bold peat smoke. Hints of vanilla and subtle maritime notes add balance before a long, warming finish with lingering smoke and spice.

Its style echoes the praise of whisky writer Alfred Barnard, who described an eight-year-old Lagavulin in the 1880s as "exceptionally fine"—a fitting endorsement for this modern classic that has become a favourite among peat lovers.
