A limited single malt from the Highland distillery Glencadam, showcasing the vibrant influence of Sauternes wine cask finishing.
Distilled in 2008, this whisky was initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being transferred to carefully selected Sauternes wine barrels from France for its finishing period. The sweet wine casks complement Glencadam’s elegant spirit, adding depth, richness and a bright fruit-forward character.
Sauternes cask maturation is known for enhancing whisky with lively citrus and zesty fruit notes, creating a beautifully balanced dram that highlights both the sweetness of the wine casks and the distillery’s naturally smooth style.
This expression was released in limited quantities of just 3,042 individually numbered bottles.
