Released in mid-2019 as part of a trio of innovative cask-finished expressions, this 8 Year Old GlenAllachie showcases the distillery’s adventurous approach to wood management.
Initially matured in American oak barrels, the whisky was then transferred to small quarter casks that previously held Koval Rye from the renowned Chicago distillery. The influence of these rye-seasoned casks brings a distinctive twist, layering GlenAllachie’s rich Speyside spirit with notes of maple sweetness and earthy spice.
The result is a bold and characterful single malt, where creamy vanilla and honeyed malt meet warming rye spice and subtle oak intensity.
