A distinctive Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, released as part of Batch 3 of the Virgin Oak Series, which explores how different oak species influence whisky during maturation.
This 10-year-old expression was initially matured in American oak bourbon barrels before being finished for around 18 months in virgin Spanish oak casks. The additional maturation brings enhanced depth and subtle flavour nuances, highlighting the unique character imparted by Spanish oak.
The Virgin Oak Series forms part of GlenAllachie’s innovative approach under Master Distiller Billy Walker, a Scotch whisky industry veteran with over 50 years of experience. Since acquiring the distillery in 2017, Walker has overseen a range of creative releases showcasing GlenAllachie’s rich Speyside spirit.
