Compass Box The Story of the Spaniard is a rich and expressive blended malt Scotch whisky, created to highlight the influence of Spanish sherry and red wine cask maturation. Introduced in 2018 as part of the Compass Box core range, this release showcases the brand’s innovative approach to cask-driven flavour.

Crafted from a selection of Highland and Speyside single malts, a significant portion of the blend has been matured in sherry casks and, notably, Spanish red wine casks. This combination brings depth, fruitiness, and a distinctive richness to the whisky’s profile.

The result is a soft yet complex dram, offering layers of citrus and ripe berries alongside darker fruit notes and a generous touch of woody spice. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is presented non-chill filtered and with natural colour, preserving its full character and texture.
