Bunnahabhain Moine

Bunnahabhain Mòine showcases a different side of one of Islay’s most distinctive distilleries. While Bunnahabhain is best known for its unpeated single malts, it also produces exceptional peated whiskies, and Mòine is a superb example of its smoky craftsmanship. Previously available only in selected European markets, this sought-after expression is now available to UK whisky lovers.

Made from 100% peated spirit, Mòine offers a bolder and smokier profile than Bunnahabhain’s Toiteach expression. Matured with a higher proportion of bourbon casks alongside Oloroso sherry casks, it delivers a style that balances Islay peat smoke with sweetness, complexity, and remarkable drinkability.

The nose reveals layers of coastal smoke, vanilla, oak, and gentle spice, while the palate combines earthy peat, sweet malt, citrus, and subtle sherry influences. The bourbon cask maturation enhances notes of honey, vanilla, and soft oak, creating a beautifully balanced whisky that remains true to its Islay roots.

Bottled at 46.3% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration, Mòine is presented with all the character and texture intended by the distillery.
