Athrú Keshcorran 14 Year Old is an Irish single malt whiskey named after Keshcorran, the ancient limestone caves and mountain in County Sligo. Matured for 14 years, this distinctive expression combines American oak maturation with the rich and elegant influence of Hungarian sweet wine casks.
The whiskey spent 10 years maturing in ex-bourbon American oak casks before receiving an extended four-year finish in Hungarian Tokaji wine casks. The Tokaji influence introduces a refined fruit-led sweetness, with notes of green apple and pear complemented by butterscotch and subtle tobacco.
The combination of bourbon oak and Tokaji cask maturation creates a beautifully expressive Irish single malt, balancing fresh orchard fruit with sweetness and mature complexity.
