1848 2nd Generation Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2024 is an approachable and characterful Israeli dry red wine from 1848 Winery, created from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot grown in the Galilee. The 2nd Generation range reflects the winery’s long family heritage, which traces its winemaking roots back to Jerusalem in 1848.
Matured for 10 months in small French oak barrels, the wine displays a deep red colour with generous aromas of blackcurrant and plum. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and dark fruit intensity, while Merlot contributes softness and roundness, complemented by subtle oak and a long, satisfying finish.
Bottled at 14% ABV, this 2024 vintage is Kosher for Passover and Its rich fruit and balanced structure make it a versatile partner for pasta Bolognese, grilled or roasted meats, sausages and mature cheeses.
