Writers' Tears Double Oak is a unique Irish whiskey that is a blend of two premium whiskey styles, aged in both American and French oak casks.
This whiskey is a collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland and the Legaret family in France, specifically using American Oak casks from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac casks.
It is triple distilled, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV.
The flavor profile includes charming aromas of vanilla toffee, dried apple, pear, and baking spice, with tasting notes of toffee, apple rings, orange zest, and nutmeg, culminating in a velvety finish.
