Tomatin 2008 The Rivesaltes Edition - French Collection

Part of Tomatin’s acclaimed French Collection, this 2008 vintage single malt showcases the distinctive influence of French wine cask finishing. Initially matured in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks, the spirit was transferred to a Rivesaltes wine cask on 13th July 2017 for its final maturation, before being bottled on 29th March 2021.

Distilled on 19th September 2008, this expression highlights Tomatin’s signature fresh fruit character, beautifully complemented by the sweet, nutty richness associated with Rivesaltes wine. The result is a compelling balance of sweet and bitter flavours, underpinned by a prominent barley note that carries from nose to finish.

The French Collection explores the unique impact of select French wine and spirits casks — including Monbazillac, Sauternes, Rivesaltes and Cognac — creating an exceptional showcase of flavour and cask innovation.
