The Macallan Sir Peter Blake – An Estate, A Community and A Distillery is an exceptional 2021 limited-edition single malt created in collaboration with celebrated British pop artist Sir Peter Blake, as part of The Macallan's prestigious Anecdotes of Ages Collection. Marking the third collaboration between the distillery and the renowned artist, this distinctive release celebrates the people, heritage and landscapes that have shaped The Macallan's history. Inspired by Blake's visit to the Speyside estate, the whisky was crafted by Macallan Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess, while its intricate label artwork was digitally designed by Sir Peter Blake himself.
Bottled at 47.7% ABV, this specially created expression offers a rich and beautifully balanced interpretation of The Macallan's signature style. Aromas of dried fruits, orange, cinnamon and clove develop into a complex palate of black pepper, treacle, vanilla and orange oil, complemented by warming oak spice. The finish is long and indulgent, with lingering notes of cinnamon, cacao and rich oak, reflecting the depth and character of this distinctive single malt.
Presented in an elegant blue and green display box inspired by Blake's artistic palette, this collector's edition includes a certificate detailing the history behind the collaboration and a specially printed scroll featuring the artist's colourful collage artwork. Released in association with the celebrated Anecdotes of Ages Collection, this distinctive pairing of fine whisky and contemporary British art offers particular appeal to collectors seeking one of The Macallan's most recognisable artistic collaborations.
