Glenglassaugh Torfa is a distinctive Highland single malt, marking the distillery’s first peated release. Introduced in 2014, it is fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels and peated to around 20ppm, offering a smoky character that sets it apart from the distillery’s typically unpeated style.
Produced using richly peated malted barley dried over traditional peat-fired kilns, Torfa delivers a unique, phenolic profile while retaining a sense of balance and approachability.
The ex-bourbon maturation brings notes of vanilla and oak alongside the peat smoke, creating a whisky that combines coastal freshness with gentle sweetness and a more unusual smoky edge for a Highland malt.
