At 18 years, The Glenrothes spirit moves into a deeper, more confident maturity, where its orchard-fruit heart becomes silkier, and the sweetness takes on a richer, more layered elegance. It’s the point where delicacy and depth don’t compete; they complement.
Guided by our Master Whisky Maker’s precise understanding of how our new make uniquely develops over time, The 18 is shaped through maturation in a high proportion of first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks, including American and European oak. The result is a beautifully poised whisky: vibrant fruit and floral lift, wrapped in creamy vanilla and gentle, warming spice.
Aroma: Ripe pear and sweet vanilla pods, tempered by aromatic orange oil. Invigorating almond notes and a well-rounded fragrance add complexity, with a subtle dried ginger spice adding depth.
Taste: Rich and deep, alive with sweet ginger, pear and rose water. Aromatic fruit and light oak bring a gentle spice, balanced by an undercurrent of creamy vanilla.
