A distinctive Japanese blended malt from the historic Masahiro Distillery, established in 1883 in Okinawa. Known for its long heritage in spirits production, the distillery applies careful cask selection to create this balanced and approachable whisky.
Masahiro Pure Malt is crafted from malt whiskies matured for over three years in a combination of sherry butts and bourbon casks, before receiving an additional finishing period of at least six months in first-fill Jack Daniel’s bourbon barrels. The subtropical climate of Okinawa contributes to the whisky’s character, encouraging a vibrant and expressive maturation.
The result is a light amber whisky with a fruity, well-balanced profile. Expect notes of citrus, tropical fruit and vanilla, supported by gentle sweetness and soft oak influence.
