Inchdairnie KinGlassie 8 Year Old Double Matured

Heavily peated Scotch Single Malt whisky from the Kingdom of Fife.

Double distilled, double condensed for more copper contact and double matured.

KinGlassie is only distilled once a year for less than a week, every December.

The first KinGlassie release has been matured for five years in ex-Bourbon American oak casks and then three years in Amontillado casks, which together combine smoke and tobacco, with rich layers of almonds and nuts.

Peatiness is measured in Phenols Parts per Million or ppm and KinGlassie is high on the scale. 50 ppm. Or thereabouts. 

Inspired by cold winter nights sitting by the fire, with the smoke slowly circulating the room creating a warming winter atmosphere, KinGlassie uses mainland peat to reflect this welcoming comforting winter smoky feel.
