This 2024 expression is fully matured in rare Quercus Humboldtii (Colombian oak) casks, exploring the distinctive interaction between this unusual oak species and Raasay’s lightly peated spirit. The result is a whisky with impressive depth and complexity, highlighting the influence of the cask on the island’s signature style.
Rich and aromatic, the whisky offers notes of crème brûlée, butterscotch and dark fruits, balanced with gentle heather smoke from the lightly peated spirit.
Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration, this limited release showcases Raasay’s innovative approach to maturation.
