Glendronach Ode to the Embers

The Glendronach "Ode to the Embers" is a rare, lightly peated Highland single malt Scotch whisky from their Master's Anthology series, blending traditional peat smoke with rich Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry cask sweetness for notes of spiced fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, and subtle bonfire smoke.

Released in late 2024, this non-chill filtered dram (48.4% ABV) pays homage to older distillery practices using peat, offering a complex, warming, and balanced winter dram.} 

Series: Part of The Master's Anthology, celebrating Glendronach's sherry cask heritage.

Peat Level: Lightly peated, with a gentle, ashy smoke reminiscent of heather and bracken.

Cask Maturation: Matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks.

Production: Natural colour, non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: 

Cinnamon-spiced toffee, flamed orange, caramelized walnuts, dark fruit, hints of chocolate.

Palate: 

Raisin, honeyed walnut, dark chocolate fudge, bramble ganache, smoked nuts, spiced fruitcake, butterscotch.

Finish: 

Long, warming, with lingering sweet smoke, charred oak, and spiced note
