A smooth and approachable Japanese blended whisky from the White Oak Distillery, released under the Akashi label. Although widely enjoyed in France, it remains relatively rare in many other markets.
Akashi Meisei is aged for a minimum of three years in American white oak barrels and double distilled in copper pot stills, resulting in a light yet characterful whisky. The maturation brings gentle sweetness and spice, highlighting the elegant style associated with the distillery.
The whisky opens with aromas of vanilla, dried fruits and soft spices, while the palate delivers a balanced combination of sweet oak, warming spice and a hint of vanilla richness. Bottled at 40% ABV and chill-filtered for clarity, it offers a versatile profile that can be enjoyed neat, over ice or in whisky cocktails.
