Originally introduced in 2017, The Macallan Enigma is a richly sherried single malt crafted from European oak casks. These casks - sourced directly from the Tevasa cooperage in Jerez, Spain - are all first-fill and seasoned with sherry, lending the whisky its deep character.
On the nose, you'll find vibrant fruit notes like ripe peaches, juicy raspberries, and tropical mango, layered with hints of ginger, nutmeg, and a subtle touch of mint.
The palate is rich and full-bodied, delivering a medley of dried fruits such as prunes, figs, and dates.
It concludes with a medium-length finish, defined by warm, woody oak.
