A limited small-batch single malt from Wolfburn Distillery, Batch 155 represents the distillery’s fourth small-batch release and showcases a carefully balanced cask maturation.
The whisky was first matured for almost five years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred for a six-month finishing period in Port hogsheads. This combination brings together the sweetness of Port casks with the smooth vanilla character of bourbon oak, resulting in a rich and approachable dram.
The whisky offers a smooth, easy-drinking profile with a deep colour and layers of sweet fruit and gentle richness drawn from the Port influence.
Like earlier releases in the series, the name Batch 155 refers to the specific location of the casks during maturation – Warehouse 1, row 55.
Only 5,300 bottles were produced for this limited release.
