Tomintoul Single Sherry Cask #1 2000 – 19 Year Old is a richly sherried Speyside single malt, distilled in August 2000 and matured for nearly two decades in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry butt. Bottled in February 2020 at a robust 55.8% ABV, this limited release yielded just 521 bottles, capturing the full depth of its long PX maturation.
The nose is dominated by heavy notes of luscious PX sherry and seasoned oak, while the palate bursts with raisin and honey sweetness, carried by a rich, velvety mouthfeel and nutty, oaky undertones. A long, satisfying finish unfolds with beautifully rounded spice, making this a rewarding and deeply indulgent single cask expression.
