Port Charlotte 2003 14 Year Old Skene Reserve
Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout
Distilled in July 2003 at Bruichladdich Distillery under its heavily peated Port Charlotte label, this exceptional 14-year-old single malt was matured in a single ex-Bordeaux wine cask before being independently bottled by Skene Whisky in November 2017. Bottled at a formidable 60.4% ABV, this rare single cask release was limited to just 90 bottles, making it a highly collectible expression for lovers of peated Islay whisky.
The ex-Bordeaux cask adds a rich layer of fruit to Port Charlotte's signature smoky style. Aromas of white oak, ripe plum, cherry, and a beachside barbecue lead into a powerful palate of juicy dark fruits, wood smoke, nut oil, and subtle spice. The finish is long, dry, and intensely smoky, with warming peppery notes and lingering coastal character.
Combining bold peat smoke with the elegance of wine cask maturation, this ultra-limited Skene Reserve bottling is a superb example of Port Charlotte's richly textured and unmistakably Islay character.
