Originally created for the international travel retail market, this 12-year-old expression represents an earlier era of Macallan whisky making, presented in its original one-litre format and classic distillery packaging.

Matured in a carefully selected combination of Oloroso and Fino sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, Elegancia 1991 offers a distinctive interpretation of The Macallan's celebrated sherry cask tradition. Aromas of citrus, vanilla, sweet toffee and gentle oak develop into a refined palate of warming spice, nutty malt, subtle coffee and fresh lemon. The finish is elegantly balanced, with lingering notes of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and delicate spice.

Bottled at 40% ABV, this discontinued vintage release is particularly appealing to collectors seeking earlier Macallan expressions.
