The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is characterised by the perfect combination of European and American oak casks, seasoned with sherry wine in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
Aged for a minimum of 12 years in two different types of oak casks, American oak and sherry seasoned European oak. The use of two different types of oak casks gives this whisky its balanced and distinctive flavour profile.
On the nose of the Double Cask 12 Years Old, experience aromas of fudge with candied orange and lemon, alongside vanilla and soft spice.
Milk chocolate raisins and creamy toffee on the palate is balanced with orange peel and gentle spice. The finish is medium with sweet oak.
