The flagship single malt from Glengyle Distillery, Kilkerran 12 Year Old marks the distillery’s first core release following its reopening in 2004 after nearly 80 years of closure.
This lightly peated Campbeltown whisky is double distilled and matured in a combination of 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks, creating a balanced profile that showcases both sweetness and gentle smoke.
On the nose, aromas of cherry, meringue and a touch of peat emerge, leading to a rich, oily palate with notes of butterscotch, shortbread and honeycomb. The result is a well-rounded dram with classic Campbeltown character.
Bottled without chill filtration and with no added colouring, preserving the whisky’s natural character.
