This 14 year old Glenrothes single malt was distilled in 2007 and matured until 2022 in a first-fill sherry hogshead, before being bottled at cask strength by renowned independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. Released as part of the esteemed Connoisseurs Choice series, just 313 bottles were produced, making this a limited and highly collectible Speyside whisky.
Throughout its full term of maturation, the whisky developed deep complexity and richness from the sherry cask. On the nose, vanilla pods, stewed raisins, and dark chocolate lead the way, followed by inviting notes of fruitcake and forest fruits. The palate unfolds with summer berries, rich dried fruits, charred oak, and warming baking spices, delivering a beautifully structured and expressive mouthfeel. Bottled at natural cask strength, the whisky retains its full intensity, depth, and character.
