Glenglassaugh Sandend

Glenglassaugh Sandend is a vibrant coastal Highland single malt inspired by the crescent-shaped beach of Sandend Bay, located beside the distillery. This expression captures the essence of its seaside surroundings, combining rich texture with bright, tropical character and a subtle maritime influence.

Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and manzanilla casks, the whisky develops both depth and freshness. The bourbon casks bring sweetness and vanilla, while the sherry and manzanilla casks introduce layers of complexity and a distinctive coastal edge.

On the nose and palate, it reveals pronounced notes of tropical fruit and creamy vanilla, evolving into waves of lush sweetness. A delicate hint of sea spray and a crack of sea salt run throughout, adding balance and evoking the distillery’s coastal location.
