Distilled on 11 June 1993 and matured exclusively in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry butt for over three decades, this rare Highland whisky was bottled in 2023 at natural cask strength, without chill filtration. Just 595 bottles were released worldwide, making this a highly sought-after collector’s piece and a definitive expression of The Glendronach’s signature style.
Nose:
A sumptuous opening of sherry-soaked bramble fruits, sultanas, and candied orange, layered with chocolate praline, Demerara sugar, and rich Morello cherry fruitcake.
Palate:
Decadent and full-bodied, delivering dark stewed fruits and black forest gâteau, complemented by savoury undertones of leather, tobacco leaf, and polished oak.
Finish:
Long, complex, and deeply satisfying, with lingering notes of molasses, dried fruit, warming wood spice, and finely balanced tannins.
