GlenAllachie 2012 9 Year Old Cuvée Wine Cask Finish is a vibrant limited-edition Speyside single malt from the distillery's 2023 Wine Cask Series, showcasing its flair for innovative wine cask maturation. Distilled in 2012, the whisky was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, developing a foundation of vanilla sweetness and orchard fruit before being transferred to carefully selected European oak wine barriques.
The secondary maturation brings together casks sourced from Languedoc and Valpolicella, alongside barriques from prestigious Premier Cru Classé Bordeaux châteaux. This combination adds layers of ripe red fruit, dark berries and gentle spice to GlenAllachie's naturally honeyed character, complemented by vanilla, orchard fruits and subtle oak for a rich yet beautifully balanced profile.
Bottled without chill filtration, this distinctive nine-year-old expression allows the full-bodied, fruit-forward character of the spirit and its diverse wine cask influences to shine.
