GlenAllachie 2012 14 Year Old Sauternes Wine Hogshead – Single Cask #805561

GlenAllachie 2012 14 Year Old Sauternes Wine Hogshead – Single Cask #805561 is an exceptionally rich and elegant Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, selected exclusively for the UK market. Distilled in 2012 and matured for 14 years in a Sauternes wine hogshead, this distinctive single cask release combines GlenAllachie's naturally honeyed character with the luscious fruitiness of French dessert wine casks, with just 314 bottles produced.

Matured in Sauternes wine hogshead #805561, this expression showcases a beautifully layered combination of ripe orchard fruits, golden sweetness and warming spice. The influence of the French wine cask introduces remarkable depth and complexity, creating an elegant alternative to GlenAllachie's traditional sherry-matured expressions.

Enticing aromas of ripe apricots, honeycomb, green apples and white grapes are complemented by golden syrup and delicate baking spices. The palate reveals baked apples, cinnamon and heather honey, followed by indulgent notes of mocha, glazed cherries, poached pears and caramel, leading to a rich, warming and beautifully balanced finish.

Bottled in September 2026 at a natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV, this limited-edition GlenAllachie delivers impressive intensity and flavour. With only 314 bottles released for the UK market, its distinctive Sauternes cask maturation and single cask provenance make it particularly appealing to collectors and enthusiasts of rare Speyside whisky.
