A superb Craigellachie single malt bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants for the Dalgety series. Distilled in September 2009, this expression matured for 12 years in a pair of carefully selected casks — a first-fill oloroso sherry hogshead and a refill hogshead — before being bottled in August 2022.
The combination of casks brings together rich sherried sweetness and Craigellachie’s robust, characterful spirit. On the palate, expect layers of Demerara sugar, mixed peel, warming cloves and red cherry, delivered with depth and balance. Bottled at 49.9% ABV, this release is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, preserving its full flavour and texture.
Limited to just 600 bottles, this is a bold and rewarding Speyside single malt with classic sherry influence.
