Bowmore 1991 "The Lowest Tide" is a rare and highly collectible 26 year old Islay single malt, independently bottled by Woolf / Sung as the second release in its acclaimed series. Distilled in 1991 and matured for over two decades in a single Sauternes cask, this exceptional whisky captures the elegant balance of peat smoke and the tropical fruit character for which mature Bowmore has become legendary.
Drawn from single cask #27935 and bottled in 2018 at a natural strength of 50.9% ABV, the Sauternes cask influence adds layers of honeyed sweetness and richness while allowing Bowmore’s maritime character and old-style tropical fruit notes to shine through.
Presented in Woolf / Sung’s distinctive style, each hand-numbered bottle is housed in a striking black powder-coated stainless steel vault case, reflecting the rarity and prestige of the whisky within.
With an outturn of just 287 bottles worldwide, this is a remarkable example of mature Bowmore and an increasingly sought-after independent bottling
