The 2018 Feis Ile release of Big Peat is a limited release of only 500 cases and bottled at 48% ABV. The whisky has been bottled at 48% and this year’s release comes in a tube including a set of stickers for personalisation of the bottle. Like Big Peat 2017, the bottles do not seem to be individually numbered. Nose: Initially dried seaweed then comes with barbecued meats and golden syrup. Palate: Smoked barley with damp leather, soot and a hint of lemon rind. Finish: Long and moreish, plus streaky bacon and charred oak.
