Ardnamurchan AD/The Midgie is a limited-edition Highland single malt created in tribute to Scotland’s infamous Highland midge. This second batch combines the distillery’s signature coastal character with a carefully balanced mix of peated and unpeated spirit.
The whisky is composed of 75% unpeated and 25% peated spirit, matured in a combination of 50% ex-bourbon barrels, 48% Port barriques, and 2% sherry casks. This varied cask makeup brings together sweet fruit, gentle smoke, and rich complexity in a well-balanced profile.
Bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, The Midgie retains its natural character and texture. A total of 17,000 bottles were released.
